DURING YOUR VISIT
Torbeg Cottage provides an excellent base from which to explore all that Assynt has to offer. The area has walks suitable for all from the tracks and paths of Little Assynt and the peat roads to the majestic peaks of Suilven, Canisp and Quiniag.
Sandy beaches with crystal clear waters can be found at Achmelvich, Clachtoll and Clashnessie all within 14 miles of Drumbeg. Culkein Drumbeg, a mile from the cottage is a popular spot for kayaking and exploring the many tiny islands and coves around Oldany.
Assynt boasts several hundred fresh water lochs, where the intrepid fly fisher can pit their wits against the elusive wild brown trout.
You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding a piece of coastline for a spot of sea fishing.
